2022 Acura RDX vs 2021 Acura RDX

Serving Memphis, TN

The Acura RDX is a small luxury crossover that Memphis-area drivers have coveted for many years. Now that you have your attention focused on this premium option, you may be curious about the latest updates Acura has made to it. In 2019, the third generation of the Acura RDX was introduced with incredible improvements from bumper to bumper. Advancements have continued to be introduced to the RDX since that time. You should be aware of several exciting updates to the 2022 RDX before you make your selection.

Performance

The updates to the 2022 RDX begin under the hood. Acura has fine-tuned the drive modes and the adaptive suspension system for the latest model year for enhanced performance. However, the powertrain system is unchanged. All trims for 2021 and 2022 have a four-cylinder, turbo 2.0-liter engine linked to a 10-speed auto transmission. This 272-horsepower engine has front-wheel drive, and select trims are available with all-wheel drive.

Appearance

You will find only minor changes to the exterior style of the 2022 Acura RDX. Notably, however, the exterior glass has been revamped so that there is now less cabin noise while driving. Your new RDX will have sharp styling across the nose with jewel-style LED headlights, a pentagon grille, and a black bumper. The sides have an upper personality line that angles across the doors and a thicker, molded element that angles through the lower portion of the door panels.

Features

There are a few new additions to the interior of the RDX’s cabin for 2022. Specifically, the smart device apps now have wireless connectivity, and there is a wireless charging pad. For 2021 and 2022, the RDX’s base-level features include a panoramic sunroof, heated front seats, a 10.2-inch center display screen with a touch controller pad, a nine-speaker audio system, and a wireless hotspot. More advanced trim levels add a heads-up display screen, a surround-view camera, heated rear seats, rear and front parking sensors, leather material, an upgraded sound system, adaptive cruise control, and other features.
