The 2020 Acura MDX’s main engine is a V6, 3.5-liter gas engine, and a hybrid variant pairs this engine with three electric motors. The gas engine is linked to a nine-speed automatic transmission and either front-wheel or all-wheel drive. It gives you 290 horsepower. The hybrid alternative is associated with a seven-speed dual-clutch auto transmission and super-handling all-wheel drive, and it produces 321 combined horsepower. The 2022 Acura MDX has two gas engines, and the hybrid engine has been eliminated. The V6, 290-horsepower engine is associated with a new 10-speed auto transmission. The Type S is a new MDX version for the 2022 model year. This trim has a super-handling all-wheel drive and a 355-horsepower, turbocharged V6 engine.
Appearance
As a next-generation model, the 2022 MDX has been boldly redesigned. Its longer and wider shape boosts stability behind the wheel and enlarges cabin space. Both the nose and rear are slightly rounded, and the hood is flattened and sculpted.
