 What’s New for the 2020 Acura RLX?

For the seventh consecutive model year, the RLX functions as Acura’s full-size four-door sedan. Split into Technology Package and Advance Package trim levels, the RLX is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 that produces 310 horsepower and up to 273 lb-ft of torque. However, if you go with the Advance Package, the V6 will have idle-stop technology to eliminate engine idling. On either trim level, the V6 is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters for a sporty experience.

Fuel economy is rated at 20 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway.

A five-seater with 102.1 cubic feet of passenger volume, the 2020 Acura RLX’s seating accommodations include perforated leather upholstery with contrast stitching and piping and front-seat heating and 12-way power adjustability with 4-way power lumbar support. The cabin has Active Noise Control technology to block out unwanted noise and vibrations. The Advance Package trim level is boosted with front-seat cooling and steering-wheel and rear-seat heating. For comfort and convenience, the RLX comes with features such as tri-zone automatic climate control, keyless access with push-button engine ignition, Bluetooth wireless technology for hands-free phone calling and audio streaming, a color multi-information display and the On Demand Multi-Use Display touchscreen, Siri Eyes Free voice recognition, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a USB port and an MP3 auxiliary audio jack for connecting portable devices, a trial subscription to SiriusXM radio, Song by Voice for helping you select and play music from a smartphone or USB-connected drive, hands-free texting ability, HD Radio technology, a navigation system, a garage-door opener, and a 14-speaker stereo system. Also standard is the Acura Connected Services package for functions and services such as real-time traffic information, emergency notifications, stolen vehicle locator, and remote lock and unlock. Expect electric air conditioning and a head-up display on the Advance Package. For safety, the Acura RLX includes features such as a seven-airbag system, vehicle stability assist with traction control, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, hill start assist, electric brake-force distribution, brake assist, LED daytime running lights, a multi-view rearview camera with dynamic guidelines, and a theft-deterrent system. Driver-assistance tech consists of adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow setting, lane keeping assist, a blind spot monitoring system with a rear cross-traffic monitor, collision mitigation braking, road departure mitigation, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, and traffic jam assist. Surround-view camera, head-ups alert, and front and rear parking sensors are added on the Advance Package.
